My most memorable role was working as a project mechanical engineer and services coordinator on the La Bolla conference room, Italy.

This is a hemispherical glass bubble on the roof of the refurbished 1920s FIAT factory in Turin, where part of the escape sequence in the original Italian Job was filmed. I worked with the great architect Renzo Piano. Working alongside a great visionary architect on an innovative design for environmental control was a real thrill as a 24-year-old graduate.
