Engineering is made up of a whole host of industries: everything from aerospace to utilities. If you want to work in a technical role you’ll probably need to stay broadly within the engineering discipline you have studied at university. However, there will be a wide range of sectors in which you can choose to start your graduate career as an engineer, including some you might assume are open only to graduate engineers from other backgrounds: for example working for a chemical engineering company as an electrical engineer implementing electrical and control systems.
