I wanted to work for a firm that provided all of the opportunities and rewards of an international firm while maintaining the character and charm of a small regional office.

The office’s location in Aberdeen means that a lot of my current workload is generated by the oil and gas industry. I’ve been given the opportunity to get involved with complex and specialised deals, working with clients ranging from large oil companies to local property developers, and I’ve gained a valuable insight into the world of business. Along the way I’ve received plenty of support and guidance. One of the partners is my mentor: the fact that he is so approachable and good at explaining things hasmade all the difference to the quality of my traineeship so far.
