FIRM CMS Cameron McKenna (Aberdeen Office)
CURRENT SEAT Employment/litigation
UNIVERSITY Aberdeen, law with economics (2005)
A friend from university recommended CMS Cameron McKenna to me on the basis of its reputation; I applied and within a couple of days I was flying down to London for an assessment day. Being based in Aberdeen means that a lot of work is related to the oil industry and I sometimes work in teams on extremely large, complex deals. I also have smaller cases though, such as unfair dismissal cases, which allow me to take more of a lead role. Working in a relatively small office means this variety is possible – I am not constricted to my assigned seat. My seat at the moment is split between employment and litigation but in the past week I have been working across departments assisting on a major oil and gas deal, a personal injury action and a commercial property purchase. I’m involved from the start through to completion and given one-to-one advice and support.
