The Albion Riverside development designed by Foster and Partners. I was involved with this 500,000 ft2 apartment building for over six years from inception through to completion. The iconic design pushed the boundaries of 3D modelling at the time and I think it’s a stunning addition to the landscape of the River Thames.

More about what a quantity surveyor actually did! While I was unsure of how the role fitted into the wider construction industry, I was drawn to the idea of being involved with producing a physical output – a building.

Their preparation. It’s essential to do your homework before an interview – think about your motivation and the bigger picture. You need to be able to explain how your skills can impact upon the role and the organisation that is assessing you.
