The overview

AB Agri stands for Associated British Agriculture. The company is one of 15 focusing on different aspects of the agriculture and food industry that operate under the umbrella of Associated British Foods plc, alongside Twinings, Ovaltine and British Sugar.

The core business of AB Agri is providing technologies, services and products within the agricultural sector. It is also a leading provider of animal feed and its constituent products, especially for swine and poultry, and has some involvement in bio-fuels and arable farming.

Two key geographic markets

The two main markets for AB Agri are in the UK and China, and it has almost 2,000 employees across these two countries. However, the company is looking to expand into Europe and beyond. Poland is currently of particular interest, given the high demand for animal feed there. AB Agri’s business partners and clients include Sainsbury’s Dairy Development Group (SDDG).
