AB Agri has four different graduate schemes. Each consists of a number of placements in various fields. The four schemes are:
Typically, at least one placement for any scheme will be conducted in the head offices in Peterborough. Further placements could then be conducted at any of the following sites:
Graduate training starts with an induction lasting a week or so, at which the new starters will be introduced to the company, its markets, and its senior executives.
Beyond the initial induction, much of the training on the graduate scheme is provided through on-the-job experience on a variety of different placements. There are also some core modules that are taught at the outset of each graduate programme, focusing on general skills required in business and management positions.
The finance programme is the only graduate scheme on offer from AB Agri that involves working towards an official qualification, either through ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) or CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).
Graduates will be assigned a mentor when they join, to advise and guide them through the training programme. There is also additional backup in the form of line managers, previous graduates, and other senior colleagues, so there is plenty of support available.
