Forum rules
The TARGETjobs forums are a place to research and share information, views and experiences of recruitment, university and life in general. These rules are in place to ensure the forums remain a pleasant and useful environment for all. Users found to be in breach of these rules will be warned. Repeated breaches of the rules will result in the user being banned from the forum.
E-mail addresses
The Forum is a place where information is shared and made accessible for all users, so do not post your e-mail address in a public post and do not ask other users to contact you via your personal e-mail address. Hundreds of people visit the forum daily – it's not worth the spam or e-mail scams that will come your way. E-mail addresses will be removed by the moderating staff.
Spamming and junk posting
We do not tolerate spamming or junk postings in this forum. Misleading text in posts or links to other sites that are deemed fraudulent or misleading by the moderators will be deleted immediately.
Language
Offensive language will not be tolerated and repeat offences will result in your account being deactivated. We would ask that all posts are in English. Posts written in other languages may be removed.
Harassment
Postings that are abusive, threatening, offensive, obscene, harassing, harmful, inflammatory, racist or otherwise objectionable will be deleted and may result in your account being deactivated.
Advertising
Advertising of any kind is not tolerated. This includes posts that are considered by the administrators to be 'advertorial'. Marketing of goods, jobs or services is not permitted. Relevant events (eg graduate fairs) that are free to attend may be listed in the events section at the discretion of the forum administrator.
Libel and defamatory postings
While we are keen to encourage comment, libellous and defamatory postings are not permitted and will be removed immediately by the administrators. A useful explanation of libel and defamation can be found here though reading this does not indemnify you from liability.
Impersonating a third party
Any user who misrepresents themselves or impersonates a third party will have their account deactivated and further action may be taken against them.
Disclaimer
The administration reserves the right to add, modify or remove any of these rules at any time.
