Hi Paul - well, why do you consider yourself suitable for the role? Have you already tried it out via some other work experience or a placement? Do you have skills or personal qualities that you think would make you suitable? Have you spoken to people in the industry? The recruiter is asking you to convince them that you understand what the role involves and that you're suitable for it, so you need to market yourself very clearly. The best way to do this is to make some notes on what the role involves, based on the information the company provides in the job spec and in its recruitment literature, and then match yourself to it as closely as you can. For example, if they say that commercial awareness is a must, then show that you have this by offering an example of when you've used it. Use our employer research sheet (available at http://targetjobs.co.uk/careers-advice/job-hunting-tools-downloads) to get yourself started. Hope this helps. Olivia @ targetjobs.co.uk
