Instruments/Control Systems Graduates

We have opportunities for engineering Graduates in the Instruments/Control Systems Discipline for our 2012 intake who have the relevant undergraduate degree in Engineering.

We recognise each Graduate as an individual and provide the relevant training, development and support to help them achieve Chartered Status. All our Graduates will receive technical and management training, mentoring from a senior professional and the opportunity to gain site experience; possibly overseas.

Person Specification

Essentially we are looking for Graduates who have a genuine interest in the offshore/onshore oil and gas industry and in particular their main focus should be in the design work itself. They should enjoy being involved in tackling technical challenges and problem solving in a team environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

The key competencies (skills, attitudes and behaviours) that Graduates need to demonstrate in order to have a successful professional career with KBR are:

  • Action Orientation – Graduates need to act proactively and take ownership of their careers. They should put themselves forward to take responsibility using their initiative in work related matters.
  • Flexibility/Adaptability – Graduates should be able to adapt their working style and behaviour when required. They need to be responsive to change and maintain effective work performance during stressful situations.
  • Team Working – Graduates should contribute to the effectiveness of a team, share responsibilities and tasks and be receptive to the opinion of others.
  • Communication – Graduates need to demonstrate good verbal communication skills and have the aptitude to present to others. Their written abilities should be to a proficient standard enabling them to produce concise and professional written documents.
