DB Schenker Rail (Western Europe) is the leading rail freight operator in Britain and much of Europe. We deliver innovative services for major players in, among others, the electricity supply, construction, waste and logistics industries. Put simply, we’re very, very big.

We’re currently recruiting for our 2009 graduate programmes in the UK and Europe. We’re looking for self-assured, confident graduates who have obtained or are expecting to gain a 2:1 or equivalent. A second European language is highly desirable – French, Spanish or German would be ideal. For our European programme, fluency in French and English is essential.

As a Production Manager in one of our depots or terminals, you’re in charge. It’s about reliability, efficiency, customer relationships and safety. To succeed in this role you’ll need exceptional people skills and a gritty determination. And the more mobile you are, the more opportunities there'll be to progress. Your first job during training will be Trainee Production Manager.

You’ll start on a basic salary of £23K with some great benefits. Your salary progression will depend on your progress and your placement but we would expect you to be earning anything from £30K - £40K in your second year. It’s quite possible that your earnings would reach £45K - £65K in your third year.
