Graduate C/C++/C# Developer

We are split into two key business areas; Commercial and Government

Graduates are the lifeblood of the organisation, given real responsibility from the outset on business critical and intellectually demanding projects. You'll work across a range of areas, both technology and business focussed, allowing you to identify your future chosen specialisation, whether it be technology or business consulting, data analytics, engineering or technical delivery. In the inital stages, however, many of our graduates focus on technology focused projects, before moving into more business areas.
Requirements
You will need to demonstrate that you have thought through your reasons for wanting to become a consultant, underpinned by a clear affinity with technology. A flexible and adaptable attitude will also be needed, due to the sheer variety of projects you can get involved in.
Other requirements:
* 2.1 (or equivalent) minimum in a numerate degree discipline, with A/B at A-Level (or equivalent);
* C/C++/C# (one of these is essential but all highly desirable);
* Web technologies such as PHP, Databases .NET, Linux, other languages (would be nice);
* Excellent communication and presentational skills;
* Analytical approach and a passion for problem solving;
* Ability to work effectively in a team;
* Demonstrable commercial awareness;
* Ability to work with a wide range of people – both from technical and business backgrounds.
This role is in our Gloucester offices or Gatwick offices working in national security.
Responsibilities
Detica are looking for Developers to work on a variety of client projects. These projects range from small, short term assignments through to larger assignments working as part of a large team.
Developers are expected to be dynamic and self-starting in further developing their skills both within their existing specialities, and into newer areas.
