Groupon is officially the fastest growing internet company in history and the first to reach $1 billion in sales in only seventeen months since its inception.
Featured on the front cover of Forbes magazine (08/10) and listed in TIME’s Top 50 Websites of 2010 we are committed to helping small to medium sized businesses gain exposure while giving consumers a better deal.
With offices all over the world and an ever-increasing active subscriber base of over 64 million people in 43 countries, our unique brand of direct marketing coupled with our up-tempo, yet stimulating work ethos, has established our online coup d’état at the helm of the global, social commerce scene. Since January 2010 we have saved the UK over £185 million via 6,000 deals, ranking us as one of the 50 most visited websites in the UK.
The Groupon Graduate Program (GGP) is a three-month program, ideal for graduates with an excellent academic track record, who are looking for a career within the e-commerce sector.
All GGP’s are full-time paid positions at our office in London and take place on an on-going basis. Start and end dates are flexible with regards to academic schedules and business needs. We are looking for graduates who would like to undertake a permanent role after successful completion within the placed department and want to progress within the company.
In order to be successful in this program you should love a fast-paced environment, be able to establish good working relationships, be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and be commercially driven.
We don’t like to extensively map out your development as we want to give you the freedom to excel within your own realm. However, every trainee will be joining our New Starter Training and will receive a solid grounding in how Groupon works, and all the basics followed by training on the job. Whilst in the program trainees are supported by team members, an assigned buddy and their line manager. At the end of the three-month program, if you have delivered to standards that are expected of you, you may receive a competitive and rewarding permanent offer within the department you have been training with.
Within this fast-track program you will have the opportunity to build your skills in different areas. In each area you will be given a real role and you will become part of the team on day one. You will be able to develop your knowledge and experience very quickly, and that is because we are happy to give you a large amount of flexibility. When receiving your permanent contract, we will give you feedback about your traineeship and want to work on some goals for the future together with you.
