The Organisation

Today, wherever you are in the world, the odds are that projects designed and built using AVEVA software supply your electricity, fuel your home and car, make the fibres and dyes for your clothes and transport them across the oceans.

AVEVA is the world’s leading engineering software provider to the power, plant and marine industries and one of the UK’s – and the software industry’s – greatest success stories. From an innovative and visionary concept in the early days of computing, we have led from the front for over 40 years. As the biggest global player in our industry, we have an impressive track record, but we retain all the excitement and culture of a close-knit and innovative technology start up.

We have achieved this leadership through the creativity, dedication and professionalism of our global team; a team which combines deep expertise in the most advanced computing techniques with equally deep understanding of our customers’ industries, their needs, problems, opportunities and working methods. That’s what makes AVEVA unique in the marketplace and unique in the exciting career opportunities it can provide.

History

Founded in 1967 and originally known as CADCentre, AVEVA was a pioneering venture between the University of Cambridge and the Government, looking at how computers could be introduced into British Engineering.

Over the decades AVEVA has given the engineering industries many innovative technologies which have rapidly become key business enablers, including;

  • AVEVA PDMS, the world’s first – and still the best – 3D plant design system
  • The world’s first immersive visual engineering centre
  • The world’s first – and still the only – proven solution for global collaborative project execution
  • The world’s first technology for streaming interactive 3D models across the Internet.

Graduate Opportunities

AVEVA looks for approximately 10 graduates per year from both a technical and commercial background.
