Grant Thornton is one of the world’s leading audit, tax and advisory firms, with offices in over 100 countries. But we are much more than just accountants – and so are the people that work for us. We’re a complex, ambitious organisation, helping over 40,000 clients in the UK alone to improve their financial performance and manage risk through our specialised business advisory services.

It's not just what we do, but the way we do it and our passion for business that sets us apart as a firm. Our people constantly strive to add value by fostering strong working relationships, listening critically and digging down to the core issues for each client to provide the kind of clarity and strategic business advice that takes them from where they are to where they want to be.

As a Grant Thornton trainee you’ll have the opportunity to join one of five business areas: audit, tax, actuarial, business risk services and recovery and reorganisation. You'll also have the opportunity for internal secondment to develop your skills across our business areas.

The graduates and interns that join us in over 20 of our offices each year become well-rewarded, well-rounded business advisors. They know they want a dynamic and challenging career. They love tough challenges, look for opportunities and believe what they do matters. As such, they get variety and responsibility early on and the experience of working on a huge range of homegrown and international clients of all shapes, sizes and across many sectors.

Our extensive client base ranges from media and entertainment to retail, technology, property and construction and healthcare, as well as fast-growth companies such as biotech start-ups or online gaming ventures. We also help a number of high-net-worth individuals – you could find yourself advising entrepreneurs, sportspeople and celebrities. And with our strong international presence there are opportunities to work on global accounts and for secondments abroad.

We encourage you to take ownership and drive your own development from the outset, defining your own career path and growing our business and those of our clients at the same time. Our size and down-to-earth, supportive culture means that this is a place where your opinions matter, and asking questions and getting involved are as much a part of the skill set you’ll need for a fast-track career, as the qualification you’ll gain.

Don’t just take our word for it. You can get an insight into life here by following our trainees on Twitter, where you’ll get real-time updates on the daily activities of Grant Thornton people across our business areas. Interested, and ready to fulfil your potential? Then take our advice and visit us online, where you’ll find more information, plus all you need to apply online if you decide we’re the place for you.
