Types of work

Our practice areas include aviation and aerospace, corporate/commercial, dispute resolution, EC/competition, energy, trade and commodities, insurance and reinsurance, real estate, shipping, transport and logistics. Our clients include many of the world’s leading multinational companies and household names in insurance, shipping, financial services, oil and gas, banking and property development.

The training contract

You will gain early responsibility and be supported through close personal supervision and day-to-day coaching, complemented by a wide range of training courses. You will undertake four six-month seats in London and Guildford, which will cover both transactional and contentious work. You may also choose to be seconded to one of our overseas offices or have the opportunity for a client secondment.

Who should apply?

We are looking for graduates with excellent academic records (including at least a 2.1 degree in any discipline), outgoing personalities and keen interests who share our values. Trainees need to have the social skills that will enable them to communicate effectively and build relationships with clients and colleagues. The ability to analyse problems, apply common sense and provide commercial, tailored solutions to clients are all qualities we seek. Ultimately Clyde & Co recruits to retain and we are seeking candidates who will remain with the firm beyond qualification.
