We recruit consultants with a view to them becoming Partners of the firm, and a significant proportion of our current Partners were elected to Partner 6-9 years after joining us from university.

Reflecting our specialist business model, Oliver Wyman recruits consultants into two practices. Candidates may apply to either or both.

OLIVER WYMAN FINANCIAL SERVICES advises banks, insurers, asset managers and other participants in the financial services industry, such as regulators and exchanges, on a diverse range of issues spanning strategy, risk management, organisation, marketing, human resources, etc. Through our sector specialisation we have achieved a position of thought leadership within the industry. Prior knowledge of finance is not at all necessary, although an interest in this diverse and dynamic sector is important. Fluency in additional languages is highly desirable, as is an interest in international travel since we are recruiting for all regions and our global staffing model takes consultants to many exciting locations around the world.

OLIVER WYMAN GENERAL MANAGEMENT CONSULTING comprises practices spanning aviation, energy, health, manufacturing, media, retail, telecommunications and travel. Consultants initially work on strategy and management challenges across a broad range of industries, before specialising to build expertise and accelerate their professional growth. With the London office home to a number of the firm’s global leaders, there are many opportunities to work at the forefront of the firm’s development. Consultants will be based in the UK with many opportunities for international travel for those who desire it.

What we are looking for

Outstanding students of any discipline are welcome to apply although strong analytical skills and a passion for applying them to real world problem-solving are a must.
