Babcock International Group PLC – The Bigger Choice

From Scotland to south-west England, graduate recruitment opportunities right across the UK.

Who is Babcock?

BabcockBabcock is the UK's leading engineering support services company. We deliver essential engineering support to some of the biggest public and nationally regulated clients you could name, across a wealth of critical civil, industrial and defence activities.

We are the UK's leading naval support business - combining a unique relationship with the Royal Navy with an expanding presence in international submarine support operations.

We are the largest provider of facilities management support to the Ministry of Defence - and also provide technical and training support right across the defence sector.

We are a major player in the UK rail infrastructure market and the largest track renewal contractor for Network Rail.

We have one of the largest specialist nuclear resources in the UK, maintaining and supporting the current generation of civil reactors and also operating in the decommissioning and waste management markets.

We design, install and maintain power, telecommunications and digital broadcast infrastructure networks in the UK and are one of three key suppliers to National Grid.

We are also involved in a variety of international activities that range from supporting power generation and distribution in South Africa to specialist oil pipeline support in the USA.

In all our markets, we're building on our successes. Even in today's challenging economic climate this means we can look forward to a very exciting future.

Babcock is also about something else - people.

BabcockWe have a diverse team of some 17,000 extremely talented and capable individuals, working together to meet or exceed our clients' expectations on every element of every contract. In this respect, it's our employees that make us more than the sum of our parts.

With many different customers, across many different markets, we operate in highly technical and complex environments - and rely on the combined skills of qualified and experienced engineers, business professionals and project management staff to deliver world-class service levels to our customers.

As a business with an instinct for innovation, we're also aware that we must constantly look towards the future - and nurture the talent that will drive us forward. It's vital that we recruit, develop, reward and inspire people whose ideas, ambitions and energy will constantly refresh our competitive edge.

With that in mind, we've developed a suite of graduate training schemes across our business that directly meet the needs of each sector, and also the individual development needs and career aspirations of our graduates. Rather than pursue a 'one size fits all' policy, we're committed to focusing on your individual needs, through a personalised approach that balances practical experience with course-based development, often linked to further professional qualifications.

Business support graduate training programmes

On land, on sea, by air – from submarines to trains, planes and power stations - a career with Babcock can launch you on a fascinating journey, in any number of directions.

This year, we’re looking to recruit graduates for business support roles across a number of our domestic divisions.

Who we’re looking for

Given the scale and nature of our project work, we are naturally selective about who we recruit. After all, every new graduate trainee is potentially a leader of the future. So in addition to at least a 2:2 degree in an appropriate business or finance related subject, we take care to ensure that you possess leadership qualities we can develop – specifically, a strong customer focus and business outlook, an enthusiasm for new ideas and creative thinking, and the ability to motivate and inspire those around you.

Your graduate career development
