Complexity on an immense scale.
Nestlé is the world's leading nutrition, health and wellness company. Our products include food and beverages, cereals, confectionery, pet foods and waters. As of today, we employ over 276,000 people across more than 500 state-of-the-art facilities around the world.
We're the people who make your Shredded Wheat and Nescafé coffee – and who liven up your tea break with a Kit Kat. But did you know that we also bring you Buxton Mineral Water, Felix, Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles and After-Eights? Or that our research is pushing back the boundaries of health and nutrition around the world?
There's always something new to learn about Nestlé. It might be the story of our founder, Henri Nestlé, whose research into child nutrition laid the foundation for more than 140 years of commitment to good food and healthy living. Or it might be the story of how, despite being world leaders, we always have a local emphasis as well as global reach.
It was never our ambition to be the biggest at what we do - it was our ambition to be the best. We appreciate that size and success are nothing without the finer details - such as genuine care for our consumers, a commitment to our people and a wider sense of responsibility towards our customers, suppliers and our communities. When people work for us, they see the difference that makes at every stage.
For a start, our business has a truly global, yet distinctly European outlook, one which has been handed down from generation to generation since our founding in Switzerland in the nineteenth century. Then there's the fact that we're truly committed to sustaining local communities, thanks to our principle of 'thinking globally, acting locally'. There's our commitment to internal mobility too. This means our people always enjoy the opportunity to move around, whether within business areas, or on a secondment, or from one country to another.
Our belief in collaboration and mutual respect has created a culture of brilliant people pulling together across diverse business areas to create the products and standards for which we're so famous. It's the perfect environment in which to carve out a niche according to your own skills and ambitions, and to keep on growing, both as a person and as an employee. That’s good news for ambitious graduates.
To accelerate the success of our business we need to build a team who’ll deliver winning performance. That’s why we recruit the highest calibre graduates and develop them through a carefully structured programme. This graduate programme has continually produced people who excel both personally and as part of a team.
We don’t believe in a generic, one-size-fits-all approach. Instead we’ve created a graduate programme which gives you the freedom and, critically, the support to find your own niche and start making an impression from day one. You won’t get told what to think or how to act. But you will get to make serious contributions to live projects, move about the business and take part in placements where you can shine.
As a Times Top 100 Graduate Employer, we’re always on the look out for the leaders of the future. We want graduates who can think on their feet, impress us left, right and centre – and take our business further than ever before. We expected big things from our current graduates and they didn’t let us down. Now we’re expecting big things from you. This is your chance to show us what you’re made of.
Nestlé offers a wide range of Graduate Programmes. These are Engineering; Operational Excellence; Finance; Marketing; Quality; Sales; and Supply Chain. To join us in each, we’re looking for future leaders who have the numerical ability, passion to succeed and commercial acumen needed to drive our business forward.
Engineering and Operational Excellence are cornerstones of our business. Join us in either of these areas and you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our manufacturing operations meet the demands of a highly competitive supply chain. Our Finance grads do a lot more than tot up the numbers and balance the books – their programme shows the truly critical and diverse role finance plays across our business. Meanwhile, Marketing grads work to build iconic brands, and learn that it takes much more than just a great tasting product, a stylish logo and a slick advertising campaign.
We’re also looking for the very best science graduates to embark on a Quality Management career with us, so that our exceptionally high standards are continuously maintained and improved. On our Sales programme, graduates enjoy the thrill of selling the world’s favourite products, delivering outstanding results and really making a difference for all to see. By no means least, our Supply Chain programme offers the chance to work in the engine room of our business, as part of a hugely complex, multi-million pound operation.
