About us

With 106,000 employees worldwide and sales exceeding £18.5 billion our international market presence is unrivalled.

In the exciting arena of international defence, BAE Systems offers a wealth of recruitment opportunities for both graduates and undergraduates.

Graduate and undergraduate programmes

We recognise that no two people are alike and aim to offer a range of graduate career paths that appeal to a broad range of individuals.

We offer undergraduates a range of placement opportunities at various sites around the UK, typically lasting a year, which will give you a fascinating insight into the workings of our global business.

We have three graduate training programmes: 'GDF' is the main programme, 'FLDP' for those looking for a finance leadership career and 'Sigma' for fast-track international leadership.

Most graduates will join our Graduate Development Framework (GDF), which is our main two-year entry scheme. You will receive on-the-job training from some of the most talented people in our industry. You will work on real projects offering you real responsibility.

Requirements

BAE Systems have a large requirement for engineering and business roles. This covers graduate careers in engineering, systems, software, manufacturing and production, customer support, project management, procurement, commercial, marketing and human resources. However, this is by no means everything you can do at BAE Systems. For a full range of the careers we offer, please visit our website.

We recruit approximately 300 graduates, 15 FLDP graduates, 5 Sigma graduates and 80 industrial placements (12-month duration).

Benefits

Graduates are supported by their line manager and corporate mentor. Where appropriate they will also be supported in gaining chartership. The full graduate recruitment package offered by BAE Systems includes a competitive salary (£24,000to £28,000) with six-monthly performance reviews, an initial welcome payment of £2,000 (for GDF and FLDP), 25 days' holiday per year and a number of discounted healthcare, car lease and share schemes.
