The Ministry of Defence (Defence Engineering and Science Group) is open to applications (see our website for application dates and details). We offer world-class graduate opportunities through the DESG Graduate Scheme. Our engineering and science graduates go on to work at the forefront of technology, managing defence projects worth millions of pounds.
You could join our community of 9,000 engineers in DESG and scientists, working within MOD Civil Service, to equip and support the defence of the UK with state-of-the-art technology.
Our prestigious graduate training scheme is accredited by IMechE, IMarEST, IEE, ICE, RINA, IoP and RAes, and has the reputation as being the very best graduate development scheme for engineers and scientists available in the UK. The scheme will provide you with a package of work placements and training courses, tailored to your development needs and lasting up to two years. Over and above your salary, we will invest considerably in your personal development. On successful completion of the scheme you will be promoted to your first professional post and the opportunities are there for you to achieve chartered status in around four years from commencement of the scheme.
Engineering degrees must be accredited by the relevant institution. Other similar disciplines may also be considered.
We also offer undergraduate sponsorship (see our website and click ‘Student Opportunities’ for details).
