With such an unprecedented period of change ahead, we’re investing £35bn over the next five years to deliver the growth the nation needs. Schemes Crossrail - we’re a key partner, investing £2.3bn in upgrading our infrastructure around the capital, the £5.5bn of improvements to Thameslink, the £425m Reading remodelling project, the £600m Birmingham New Street Gateway project and the £300m upgrade of the Airdrie-Bathgate Rail Link. These are some of the largest engineering projects going on across Europe today. They will redefine our travel network.

Network Rail Graduate Programme 2010

We have nine different graduate programmes that include Finance, Operations & Customer Services, Project Management, Information Management (IT), Commercial Property, Contracts & Procurement as well as Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering.

Each one combines on-the-job learning with skills development, rotational placements to give you a broad perspective of our business, and the opportunity to work towards gaining professional qualifications. You’ll receive generous benefits and will have the chance to experience some of Europe’s largest engineering projects. And you’ll share a real sense of pride carrying out work that touches millions of lives.

We offer graduate programmes built around you becoming the complete professional. You’ll gain unrivalled experience through varied placements; impact diverse projects (some which are the biggest engineering projects in Europe); personally control the pace of your chosen specialism and develop your skills within our ever-changing environment.

As we are a diverse national organisation, you’ll need the flexibility to travel around the country and may even potentially be based in different cities depending on your individual placements.
