The firm’s open plan environment means that trainees sit amongst assistants, associates and partners. This provides daily opportunities to observe how lawyers communicate both with clients and each other. This type of learning is invaluable and great preparation for life as a fully-fledged lawyer.

During the traineeship trainees receive on the- job training, two-day seat training at the beginning of each seat and training in core skills such as drafting and effective legal writing. Trainees receive a performance review every three months and are allocated a mentor for each seat. The two year traineeship is split into four (six-month) seats. The firm aims to accommodate trainees’ preferences when allocating seats. In the second year there will also be the opportunity for secondments to our clients.
