Our work

Our lawyers are engaged in all aspects of transactional, advisory and contentious law for clients around the world, helping them to adapt to the challenges and opportunities presented by a rapidly changing business environment. Clifford Chance is structured across six global practices – Corporate, Capital Markets, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and Tax, Pensions and Employment – each featuring many different teams that work together and share a deep understanding of our clients and the sectors they cover.

Joining our team– even for a short time – you will be working with colleagues from many different countries, cultures and academic disciplines. Around half our intake each year have not studied law.

Work experience programmes

At Clifford Chance we offer work experience programmes to give you an insight into our work and culture and to help you make an informed decision about a possible career with us. Our Summer Vacation Scheme is a structured four-week programme featuring workshops, seminars and the opportunity to work alongside a trainee lawyer or associate to gain first-hand experience of the work they do. There are also a number of social and networking events for you to meet some more of our people, extend your contacts and share experiences and insights with your peers. Our Winter and Spring Workshops provide a shorter, condensed version of the Summer Vacation Scheme, offering many of the same features during your winter or spring breaks.
