A graduate career in HR is ‘diverse and dynamic’ claims CIPD

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has launched a campaign to shed the HR profession’s bland reputation among graduates.

The institute ran an opinion poll and was shocked to discover how many students think that working in personnel is dull, bureaucratic and repetitive. ‘There is a real lack of understanding of what HR is and where it can take you in your career,’ says Georgina Kvassey, HR strategy advisor for the organisation.

The CIPD claims that a graduate career hits the nail on the head if you’re looking for work that’s diverse, dynamic and decisive. ‘If you are able to think things through rationally, apply sound judgement and use your emotional intelligence to defend your decisions, you should prosper in HR.’
