What jobs could I do that use my science degree?

Opportunities across the sciences.

Some scientific careers are open to all science graduates, no matter what your field. These are some of the more common ones:

Communications: use your knowledge in other sectors, such as scientific journalism and publishing, technical writing, museum work and science promotion.
Education: the shortage of science teachers means that they are being actively recruited, with the government providing bursaries and golden hellos. Alternatively, you could teach in higher education or provide training within companies.
Healthcare: work with medics to diagnose and treat patients, and develop new treatments. There are hundreds of opportunities, ranging from the ambulance service and nursing to physiotherapy, dietetics and podiatry.
Research and development: investigate new products and solutions to problems and test the replacements. Develop them for manufacture in large quantities.
