Property
The property profession generates revenue from land and real estate in a variety of ways, from valuing land and property, to acquiring and selling it, to overseeing the development of new properties, to strategically investing in real estate on a client’s behalf. Broadly speaking, property firms either specialise in just one or two of these services or offer a full range. Most graduates are employed by property firms and developers, but there are also a few vacancies with organisations that own, rent or otherwise deal with a lot of land or property (such as retailers).
Not only are there four new entrants this year, but one of them (CBRE) leapfrogs over existing employers to take the first place. It is unusual for two for the results to be so tightly contested that firms are actually sharing their ranks: Savills and British Land come in at joint third and Foxtons and Knight Frank at joint sixth.
