Our teams across the Midlands & the South East deliver projects locally within the region, across the UK and to our clients in the Middle East such as: An example of our work is the ongoing Deephams STW Upgrade in Edmonton, North London, for Thames Water where AECOM are lead designer for the upgrade of the ninth largest sewage works in England. This is typical of our multi-disciplinary project work where our teams including civil, structural and mechanical/electrical engineers collaborate with clients and the supply chain to deliver large scale infrastructure improvements to benefit the environment and local communities. For the Jeddah Stormwater Drainage Programme AECOM delivered fast-tracked solutions including 10 flood-protection dams and 170km of channels and conduits to protect the city’s 3.5 million residents. Graduate Engineer

  • Working with other team members to undertake technical work, site work, and project management
  • Opportunities for working on site and site visits, to develop wider understanding of how designs are implemented 
  • You will work in areas such as Flood Management, Integrated Catchment Management, Hydraulic Modelling, Hydrology, Sustainable Drainage, Water Sensitive Urban Design, Dam design, Hydro-power

Graduate Water Consultant

  • Working with other team members to undertake technical work such as hydraulic modelling, catchment management, flood risk analysis.
  • Opportunities for working on site and site visits, to develop wider understanding of how designs are implemented.


Graduate Engineer 

  • BEng in Civil or Coastal Engineering, with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent)
  • MEng in Civil or Coastal Engineering, or MSc in Hydraulics or Water Resources would be an advantage
  • Modules in water management, hydraulics and design projects would be an advantage
  • Relevant work experience would be an advantage
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
  • Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills beneficial

Graduate Water Consultant

  • Geography degree or MSc in Catchment Management/Dynamics, Environmental Management, Water Resources, with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent)
  • Modules in hydraulic modelling, flood risk and coastal would be an advantage
  • Relevant work experience would be an advantage
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
  • Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills beneficial.
