The Technology division sets enterprise-wide standards that are flexible and customizable for the specific needs of AIG. It enables AIG to deliver business strategies through efficient world-class IT services, while ensuring the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place.
Potential Career Paths within the Division:
Business Operations Strategy: participants will serve as liaisons between the business and IT to gather requirements, recommend solutions, manage delivery, and implement broad technology solutions that meet business needs.
Roles: Project Coordinator, Business Analyst, Junior Account Manager
Core Technologists: participants will deliver, maintain, and improve technical services and applications critical to the business.
Roles: Infrastructure Engineer, Application Developer, Database Administrator
Business Intelligence: participants will analyze business needs and IT capabilities to identify and develop data-driven solutions to resolve business challenges while maintaining high quality data to enable efficient extraction of key insights that that drive vital business decisions.
Role: BI Technical Analyst, Data Scientist
Customer Focus and Enterprise Protection: participants will monitor and manage issues and risks regarding critical technology assets and mitigate disruptions to user-experience.
Roles: Cyber Security Analyst, End User Support, Digital User Interface Designer
Graduate Program Description
Joining AIG’s Full-Time Analyst Program is a great way to enhance business acumen and gain insight into the insurance industry. In the full-time program, Analysts will work within a business or function and will gain broad exposure to their particular areas of interest. Analysts will be exposed to the company’s global nature almost immediately; at the start of the program, all global participants will convene for orientation and training.
In addition to the experience acquired on the job, Analysts will participate in global training that will help them learn and become accustomed to and integrate into the culture of AIG. Furthermore, Analysts will receive detailed performance feedback and will experience invaluable networking opportunities with both junior- and senior-level AIG employees across multiple divisions. Considerable emphasis will also be placed on training and development to help build both soft and technical business skills.
What is the Information Technology Graduate Program?
- It is a leading technology rotation program that recruits high potential individuals from top universities
- Throughout the program, participants will develop a breadth and depth of IT skills and capabilities required to excel in the workforce
- Over 24 months, participants will complete three rotations of their choosing in different Technology Departments, each eight months long, to gain the knowledge, experience, and skills needed to graduate into 1 of these roles on a more permanent basis
- Participants graduating into the same full-time role will join a cohort that serves as a community throughout the program
- Minimum grade point average of 2.1
- Pursuant of a bachelor’s degree or masters
