The role lies in a team who work transnationally to plan and hold discussions with Airbus specialists in Filton, Toulouse, Hamburg and Madrid, to compile improved ways of working for aircraft structural designers. The team is responsible for writing high quality new and revised procedures and prepare communication for deployment to the Airbus design community.
- Compile new or revised ways of working to design aircraft components, for a minimum of five structural design methods.
- Write, validate and publish a minimum of three procedural documents.
- Compile a plan for procedural documents for structures design required for the next year and co-operate with document owners to maintain the plan.
- Maintain a list of active procedural documents and take action to rationalise the documents into an architecture most useful for document users.
You must be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement studying towards an Engineering degree, preferably Aeronautical, Mechanical or Design Engineering.
As the role involves editing and reviewing technical documents, strong written English and attention to detail is key.
Additionally, the following skills are required:
- Experience of writing technical reports
- Strong level of verbal and written communication, including good vocabulary and grammar skills
- Team player
- Proactive approach
- Language skills (French, German or Spanish) are very beneficial in the role, but are not compulsory
