"The firm runs Trainee Education and Development talks once every two weeks. These will be given by lawyers from different departments on a relevant subject. Sometimes this is on an area of law while other sessions focus on a particularly interesting case or experience. They do tend to be quite useful and I have had to quickly dig out the slides from a number of presentations quite a few times! There are also departmental lunches every fortnight where a number of people will present on a chosen topic relevant to the practice. Obviously you would get more formal training at bigger firms, but I think it's a pretty good offering for a trainee intake of this size."
