Claims is a vast and vital part of the organisation. Our dedicated, friendly Claims team deliver on our promise by helping people to rebuild their lives. We have an annual claims spend of over half a billion pounds so joining this scheme, you’ll be making an incredibly important impact from day one.
Through industry-leading, hands-on training; through managing varied, challenging caseloads and interacting with key external partners, you’ll develop a wide range of technical, commercial and leadership skills that are vital to your development, and the business. How to tactfully negotiate and settle claims? How to make quick and highly effective decisions and find solutions to difficult problems? We’ll give you all the training you need be confident in your own judgements. As you rotate through placements during this two-year scheme, you’ll take on more challenging, complex, valuable caseloads and be encouraged to bring fresh ideas and help shape the way we work.
Support, Training & Progress
As well as our support and funding to achieve your Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), there’s a really strong support network in Claims, one which we’re very proud of. You’ll have your buddy to answer any questions before you join and get you off to a good start.
Then your mentor, line manager and a scheme owner will all be points of contact throughout the scheme, to support your development and ensure that you’re having challenging, enjoyable placements. And once you finish your training, your future is just beginning. You’ll have gained such a broad range of skills that you’ll be perfectly placed to progress in a variety of roles. And we’ll work with you at every step of the way to help you achieve your aspirations and potential.
- An honours degree, at 1st or 2:1 level, in any discipline
- First-rate communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-organised and able to deal with challenges and varying demands
- Valid work permit for permanent work in the UK
- Min 300 UCAS points (excl. AS Levels & General Studies) or equivalent
