We have 1 Year Placement Schemes available in:

  • IT
  • Actuarial

IT 1 Year in industry placement

Whether you’re interested in becoming a project manager, business analyst, developer or you’re not sure where you’d like to specialise yet, our graduate scheme is a perfect first step to a career in IT. Our 12 months placements are available in a wide range of areas throughout the IT Department, from Claims, HR and Finance, Digital Design and Development, Social Media and Resource & Recruitment to name a few.

You’ll be primarily based in our Guildford Head Office, there will be exposure to and potentially opportunities to work in different branches and our offshore facility in India. The placement will start at the end of June 2017. Applications close on the 25th November.

Selection criteria

  • On course for a 2.1 grade or above honours degree, or equivalent
  • A keen interest in technology and the digital landscape
  • Min 300 UCAS points (excl AS Levels & General Studies) or equivalent
  • Valid Work permit for permanent work in the UK

Actuarial 1 Year in industry placement

Our Actuarial placement runs over 12 months and will help you to develop your skills, gain insightful practical experience and make more informed decisions about your future career.

The internship will involve a mix of project work and operational tasks and past interns have been involved in areas such as modelling motor pricing policies based on a number of variables to conducting statistical reviews of claims made by our customers.

Based in our Guildford and/or London offices, the placement will start at the end of June 2017.

What we look for

  • On course for a 2:1 or above in a numerate or business related degree
  • Minimum 340 UCAS points (or equivalent)
  • A level Maths at grade A or above (or equivalent)
