Finance Graduate Scheme

Arla's Finance Graduate Scheme is designed to identify and develop talented individuals for future leading roles in Finance.  The scheme is designed to deliver all the exposure, experience and support you need in order to achieve a successful career in Finance.  You will be expected to rotate between finance departments to get a full overview of the function but will predominantly be based at our head office in Leeds.

Arla will fully support your development throughout your 3 years on the scheme, with a programme designed to prepare you for future management roles.  Central to this is assistance with your professional CIMA qualifications, including providing paid leave for study and exams as well as fully funded external study.  You will form part of a network of graduates whereby we will further your development in key leadership skills and insights into your learning and work styles, providing you with a suite of skills to succeed in your finance career with us.

Responsibilities

The 3 year scheme consists of rotations between various Finance departments each fulfilling a specific role. Through the rotations, you will gain experience in a range of business areas which may include, but not limited to, Commercial, Supply Chain, Milk Buying and Corporate Finance.  We also have a number of production and distribution facilities and shared services centre and there may be an opportunity to experience working alongside one of these teams too. 

Responsibilities will grow during your time on the scheme, with the expectation that you will not only successfully complete the roles presented, but will push yourself and your colleagues to identify areas for further improvement.  This will include managing and taking ownership for a selection of annual projects.

Skills

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level having achieved at least a 2:1 in any discipline, and will have 300 UCAS points or more. You will be able to communicate clearly and manage relationships in a cooperative manner, while still being able to constructively challenge colleagues and senior management. You will require a self-driven learning mindset, furthermore, you will be ambitious and motivated with a strong desire for a career in finance in a dynamic sector. Ahead of being offered a place on the scheme you will be required to provide documentation confirming your degree result. Please note that the scheme is due to start September 2019.
