Ensure that each aspect of our extraordinary projects is possible. That’s what you’ll do on this programme. As a graduate Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be actively involved in all stages of our work. Through a combination of on-the-job experience and continual development, we offer a unique learning ground for graduates to help us bring our projects to life.
Where you can join us
Places on our Quantity Surveying graduate programme for Autumn 2019 are available within our Marine sector. But no matter which team you join, we ask all our graduates to be flexible and willing to move during their programme.
What you'll be doing
Delivering projects of the scale we work on, against strict requirements, is an exact science. You’ll experience this first-hand. You’ll be helping to develop plans of key valuation activities, preparing costing and valuation proposals and reviewing technical specifications and responses to tenders or quotations. All the time making sure that we comply with industry regulations and statutory health, safety, and environmental requirements.
What you'll get out of it
From initial project definition and brief, to design cost appraisal, procurement, construction and building use, you’ll learn how to deliver effective and timely quantity surveying solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to work with clients and a wide variety of construction professionals as part of multi-disciplinary teams. And a training scheme will support your ongoing professional development. You’ll also enjoy a competitive starting salary of £28k - £30k.*
What you'll need
You’ll need a 2:2 RICS-accredited degree in Quantity Surveying. You’ll need to be highly motivated, with good communication and time management skills. You’ll also need to satisfy the MOD’s security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment).
*Depending on location, role and qualifications.
