As a graduate or undergraduate Operational Analysis Engineer you'll be involved in the design, development, support and marketing of major projects.
The 'Air' sector of BAE Systems is responsible for the design and build of fixed wing military and training aircraft, as well as providing training, support and information services for the UK RAF and other customers worldwide.
Operational Analysis is integral to the design, development, support and marketing of all major projects throughout their lifecycle and provides an essential bridge between high level customer military requirements and lower level engineering requirements, as part of the overall systems engineering process. Operational Analysis also focuses on providing tailored, cost effective, military capability analysis of operations at all levels to enable its customers to make informed business decisions. In particular, within key responsibilities to:
- Support the derivation of customer operational requirements through an understanding of customer doctrine and concepts and the relevant future operational environment.
- Assess the emergent properties of 'Air' Products i.e. Lethality, Survivability etc.
- Support the customer to develop the concept of operations.
- Support definition of product development, sales & marketing and business case production.
