Asia - Technical Graduate Scheme

If you’re interested in the scientific and technical aspects of food manufacture, this programme offers a brilliant springboard into a lasting career. Join Bakkavor in this fascinating area, and you’ll find yourself working with teams across our business to ensure we develop and manufacture safe, high-quality products day in day out.

You’ll be helping to determine what can and can’t be done with processes and technology, and work with others to find innovative solutions to all kinds of issues. It’s a role that calls for a decisive, confident approach that is coupled with a desire to continue learning and developing your knowledge. Expect to gain key skills in everything from food safety, food labelling and microbiology to internal auditing and factory hygiene. Not to mention management and leadership.

The aim of this programme is to support a strategic alignment with our QA Managers, from our UK model to help provide a talent pipeline for business critical roles, to enable you to become the future leaders of our business.

  • Year 1 – working in the UK alongside a Technical Manager with a skills matrix focused on understanding the basics of audit and food regulation. From a PDP perspective, personal development will focus on all the touch points technical has with the business (labelling, supplier audits, hygiene etc.) as well as working as part of a wider/cross functional team.
  • Year 2 – working in the Head Office of Creative Foods or Gastro Primo as a Quality System Engineer, with a skills matrix focusing on all aspects of Standards & Compliance. From a PDP perspective, personal development will focus on customer relationships, problem solving and influencing skill
  • Year 3 – working in a factory within Creative Foods or Gastro Primo as a Trainee QA Supervisor, with a skills matrix that focuses on all elements of the role. From a PDP perspective, personal development will focus on giving you the experience and exposure needed to become a line manager.

It would be expected that at the end of Year 3 the individual is appointed into a QA Supervisor role, with a PDP in place to support their development to Head of QA within a further 2 years. An alternative route would be for them to be appointed into a Hygiene Audit Manager role with a PDP in place to support their development into Head of Hygiene within a further 2 years.
