Asia - Development Graduate Scheme
Many have a real passion for food. Few can complement it with the knowledge and understanding needed to produce it. For those few, this is the perfect programme as you’ll get the chance to influence what the nation will be eating in the months and years ahead. Working both independently and as part of a team, you’ll develop new and innovative products – by mixing, matching and evolving flavours across new food trends.
You’ll be trained and supported by experienced and talented chefs, who’ll give you the freedom to flourish while challenging your ideas in order to gain an all-round understanding of manufacturing, from farm to fork. The aim of this programme is to expand the skills and experience within the NPD teams to allow the teams to become more innovative. This will allow us to lead on innovation for the customer and not just executors of customer briefs.
- Year 1 – working in the UK alongside a Development Technologist with a skills matrix focused on understanding the basics of the development cycle including exposure to customer relationships. From a PDP perspective, your development will focus on food trend awareness (including European flavour profiles) and working as part of a wider/cross functional team.
- Year 2 – working within our Head Office of Creative Foods, or at Gastro Primo as a Trainee Development Technologist, you will be given a tailored skills matrix focusing on all aspects of the role. From a PDP perspective, your development will focus on customer relationships and commerciality.
- Year 3 - working within our Head Office of Creative Foods or at Gastro Primo as a Development Technologist. The skills matrix will focus on project briefs and critical paths. From a PDP perspective, your development will focus on becoming a competent line manager.
Upon completion of our scheme, it would be expected the chosen individual will be appointed into a Senior Development Technologist role with a PDP in place to support their development to Product Development Manager within a further 2 years.
