"It's a very comfortable work environment. There's good communication between immediate colleagues, but at times this can suffer the further up management you go."
Graduate, Glasgow
"Hard to say. I'm on a large joint venture and sometimes it does not feel like working for Balfour Beatty. My original line manager was also the executive project director, which was not helpful. Social events typically revolve around leaving dos and Balfour Beatty graduate scheme events."
Graduate, London
"Hardworking, employees all want to make progress. People generally make themselves available to talk and discuss issues. Good social and networking opportunities."
Graduate, London
"Balfour Beatty is in a time of intensive change, which can put pressure on employees. Socials are not frequent in my area and general mood seems to be 'I am busy'. This can be difficult when you are new. However, training and 'emerging talent' is encouraged in the company so, as a graduate, you will be helped out."
Procurement, Graduate, Newcasle
"Great teamwork. Dynamic and diverse team. Good social aspects and out of work activities."
Midlevel, Gatwick
"Not very social due to the demographics of the industry. Strong hierarchy, but open and friendly in terms of teamwork. Supportive office culture."
Graduate, London
"Real sense of teamwork within the organisation, and help is always at hand from colleagues more experienced than myself. Friendly yet professional atmosphere within the site and project team. We enjoy social nights and events once every few months or so."
Graduate, Edinburgh
