So what exactly can you expect from your training as a Summer Analyst? To start with, you will have a two-day induction designed especially to introduce you to Barclays and the exciting world of FinTech. This is the perfect opportunity for you to learn, meet your peers and programme managers. You’ll be immersed in a talented team where you’ll be given real projects and full responsibility from day one. You'll also be given real support to deliver them: in addition to a junior buddy and a line manager, you’ll have your own personal mentor. All three will be picked especially for you. You will be introduced before your internship begins. These colleagues, along with our collection of hugely talented tech experts, will help you start strong and build from the off. Once you’re here, it all begins with a two-day induction. Then, it’s on to insight sessions and those all-important objectives – one of which will be to network and meet some of our most senior people.
We are confident that the Summer Analyst role will give you insight into whether you would like to be considered to continue your career with us. If you've performed well and we have roles in your area, you could be on track for a Graduate offer once your degree is finished.

Instead, we’ll assess your skills and potential through a series of online assessments and face-to-to-face interviews. We think it’s the best way to see an applicant’s full potential and also increase diversity. It’s also the most immersive way to show candidates what we do - which means realistic expectations for you.
We’ve tailored our application specifically so that getting started doesn’t mean an unreasonable time commitment for you. Tasks will take slightly longer as you get closer to final assessment, so that we can get to know you better, but we won’t ask you to complete hours of applications for no reward.
What’s more, we’ll give you constructive feedback, making our process educational for everyone. We’ve also made sure that each stage of the journey is a real chance to get to know our business and what you’ll do. We won’t demand a lot from you whilst telling you little about ourselves.
