As the professional body for IT dedicated to advancing computing as an academic discipline, The BCS Academy of Computing scholarship scheme was introduced in 2013 in partnership with the Department of Education with the specific aim to encourage more people into teaching.
The scholarship scheme is supported by a large number of schools and industry partners and forms part of a programme to help develop future computer science Master Teachers who will lead innovation both within their own school and in collaboration with other schools. To date we have had in excess of 1234 applications and have awarded over 322 scholarships.
Whether you have yet to graduate, have recently graduated or are considering a change of career we recommend you think about teaching COMPUTING and apply for a scholarship from BCS.
