Rolls-Royce Motor Cars - 12 month internship - Data Science

Each year we offer a number of internship opportunities and are keen to hear from you if you are currently studying an undergraduate degree and are looking to complete a 6 or 12 month placement.

Data Science 

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is looking for fast-moving analytics candidates passionate about data and want to make an impact. 
Candidates will work in the Sales and Marketing Data Science team, conducting analysis and projects which aim to deliver meaningful impact to the business; enabling evidence based decisions, backed by timely, actionable, and forward-looking insights. 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Leveraging the latest techniques in machine learning to model internal and external data sources 
  • Forecasting vehicle sales and marketing outcomes 
  • Analysing / Optimising marketing activities 
  • Developing and operationalising data standards, quality and governance across the enterprise 
  • Developing new data sources and analytic methods 
  • Working with large data sets from multiple sources and creating visualisations to answer key business questions 


We offer a competitive salary of £17,500 per annum and a range of benefits including a pension scheme, generous holiday allowance and a subsidised on-site restaurant. As well as being surrounded by many fellow interns throughout your internship you will be supported by our experts in your chosen field.

Qualifications and experience

  • • Students studying in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering or Physics 
  • • Experience using one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C++, C#,Ruby) 
  • • Experience in machine-learning methodologies (e.g. supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning etc.) 
  • • Good communication and writing skills
