During this time, we carry out chargeable and non-chargeable work (such as research and business development) but there is an understanding among supervisors that trainees are there to develop and learn so the focus is on this. As trainees, we have attended training delivered by an external trainer such as presentation skills and how to deliver formal advice, which has been tailored to our level and will be helpful in the future. Introductory training sessions are provided in each seat with open discussions and case studies."
