"This is particularly important to Burges Salmon. We're heavily involved with Bristol Green Capital, have our own Burges Salmon green week, minimise waste by KeepCups campaign, have water fountains to reduce plastic bottles, send 100% of our food waste to a processing plant where it is converted to bio-gas used to produce electricity and heating, and all paper used is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified."

"The office seems to be using a fair amount of energy-saving initiatives and recycling is basically compulsory (lots of offices don't have bins so you have to go to the big recycling bin), which is good."
First year trainee, Bristol
"Very high on the agenda!"
Second year trainee, Bristol
"The building is eco-friendly and recycling is very good. We're still working on going paperless though."

"We are very proactive on recycling and have regular green initiatives. The main one is a 'green week' every year where people are encouraged to cycle/walk to work in exchange for a free breakfast in Glassworks (our cafe)!"

"Appears to be good. Offices have various eco qualifications and lights can turn off if you sit too still for too long."

"The office is littered with contraptions that help reduce the building's carbon footprint and as a trainee you're taken round most of them during your induction (including a visit to the roof!). The firm has a BSustainable Committee which drives green initiatives and this year the firm is sponsoring Bristol as the first European Green Capital from the UK. Despite being very pink, Burges Salmon is also very green!"
First year trainee, Bristol
"The firm sponsors Bristol as the 2015 European Green Capital and is involved in various 'green projects'. The building itself was also designed in a way to reduce carbon footprint and 'green' ways i.e. air conditioning from rain water etc."
Second year trainee, Bristol
"The environment is of high importance to the firm. They sponsor many green initiatives in Bristol and live by example."
Second year trainee, Bristol
"The firm is very committed to environmental issues. Each team/unit/department has a representative on the overall BSustainable Committee, who collectively do an excellent job of encouraging green initiatives and ensuring widespread participation in green initiatives across the firm. Recognition must also be given to Burges Salmon's close involvement with the "Bristol Green Capital" project."

"Dedicated building design with green credentials. Promotion of cycling/walking to work."
First year trainee, Bristol
