CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education)
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is a professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, fundraising, marketing and allied areas. CASE helps its members build stronger relationships with their alumni and donors, raise funds for campus projects, produce recruitment materials, market their institutions to prospective students, diversify the profession, and foster public support of education.
To fulfill their missions and to meet both individual and societal needs, colleges, universities and independent schools rely on-and therefore must foster- the good will, active involvement, informed advocacy and enduring support of alumni, donors, prospective students, parents, government officials, community leaders, corporate executives, foundation officers and other external constituencies. CASE helps its members build stronger relationships with all of these constituencies by providing relevant research, supporting growth in the profession and fostering support of education.
CASE Europe Graduate Trainee Scheme
CASE Europe's Graduate Trainee Scheme is a fantastic opportunity for high quality graduates and postgrads seeking a career in fundraising and philanthropy within schools, higher education and not-for-profit sectors.
The Scheme offers graduates a unique opportunity to develop a range of skills and experience through interactive workshops, alongside year-long placements at schools, universities and not-for-profit organisations. Graduate trainees benefit from access to professional development training and mentoring, and are able to build an invaluable supportive network of peers.
Graduate trainees work within each area of a development office of an educational institution - gaining experience and developing skills in alumni relations, prospect management, annual and regular giving, stewardship, fundraising campaigns, major gifts, events and partnerships. The breadth of the experience provides graduates with a fully rounded view of fundraising within education and the role it plays in supporting the institutions. For those looking for a career in fundraising, the Graduate Trainee Scheme is a great way to begin a career in the sector and to see the benefits those professions bring to the higher education sector and beyond.
