What experiences can we offer you?

We offer a two year graduate training scheme consisting of at least two placements, giving you the opportunity to work in several roles within our Accounting teams, these could include Management accounting roles like overhead Cost Analysis, or Fixed Asset support as well as Financial accounting roles.

You will be an active team member working in real roles gaining an understanding of Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, systems and procedures. As well as learning and develop skills, which result from the practical application of accounting knowledge. You will also collaborate with team members worldwide as part of our global team.

Working with experienced team members and mentors you will receive coaching, guidance and support for your work, personal development and professional accreditation. 
Study support to help you become a qualified accountant will be offered as part of the role. This will include time at an Accounting college to ensure you have the best chance to succeed in your studies.

Skills/Experience/Key competencies required:

  • Strong planning, organising and problem-solving skills 
  • Highly innovative and self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Demonstrated presentations skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a global team as well as on own initiative 
  • Proficient using MS Office suite including strong Excel skills

You will be on track or have achieved a 2:1 within an Accountancy or a Business-related degree.
