You will be working in a team that deliver HR services for Caterpillar’s UK businesses and business units in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africia). We provide HR support to over 25,000 Caterpillar workers in Europe and support sites of all sizes.  Our services include Recruitment, Learning and Development, Generalist HR, Compensation and Benefits, Pensions and Payroll and HR administrative support.

The Role

Caterpillar’s HR Professional Development Programme is a three year rotational scheme, allowing you to gain an overview of all the HR disciplines. The program will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your professional skills across a range of HR disciplines as well as preparing you for a role as a future leader or functional specialist.

You’ll be involved in a variety of key projects from the start, helping us to drive forward positive change, team engagement and world-class service whilst shaping the way we look after our people, too.

You may have the opportunity to work in locations across our core HR disciplines in EMEA, this will ensure you develop a good foundation of both HR and business knowledge, with a view of gaining your professional Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) membership after the program. You will have a mentor assigned who will help and coach you as you develop your technical and personal skills, providing support and guidance as needed, so the scope for development is endless

The Person

Within our Global HR team there are a range of disciplines that require many different skills sets. Mobility and willingness to relocate to new facilities is essesential. Strong interpersonal skills and team working ability are critical in every role; this, coupled with great problem solving ability and a proactive nature are important, because within Caterpillar, HR does not stand still!

To ensure you gain the full experience of working with different countries and cultures, it is desirable that you are proficient in a second European language.
