"The culture of the organisation is a bit tricky to define, based on my limited experience. The group I am in is very welcoming and often organises gatherings outside of work and table tennis during lunch breaks. I think more attention could be given to new joiners to help them settle in. The two-day induction was a good introduction to the company as a whole but I think a project-specific induction would be useful too."

"The office culture is very relaxed while also being hard-working. You don't have to be afraid to talk to anybody and the layout of everybody sitting together is nice. The social club is cheap and offers many events/sports for you to join."

"There's a clear vertical hierarchy but it feels much more horizontal due to the respect and trust given to all members of the organisation. We have a very good culture with respect to our work/life balance. However, there are very few social aspects in work and out-of-work events are rare."

"The team I work with is exceptional in many aspects. It is friendly, cooperative and helpful and everyone enjoys a work night out. I couldn't hope to find myself in better company."
Graduate, Edinburgh
"There is very high morale within the company with most (if not all) people working well together and engaging socially where appropriate/possible. Management readily engages with others and keeps the hierarchical aspects of the company purely business."

"Social clubs are encouraged and given a fair budget, but there are no graduate events."
Graduate, London
"The culture is very friendly and welcoming for employees. We have a good social calendar and networking opportunities but can feel disconnected from upper management. We get little say or consultation when it comes to things such as changes in the office or management."
Graduate, Leatherhead, Surrey
"There is a good social culture within the company, particularly in the graduate community. The Sports and Social Club (SSC) provides funding to members for activities such as bowling, sports and meals etc. There is generally a good level of cooperation within project teams in my experience too."

"People are friendly. A lot of effort goes into sport and social activities with a diverse range of events offered for everyone's taste. For example, there is a comedy night and you can play football or badminton on your lunch breaks."

"There is the necessary hierarchy you need within a business, but it's very fluid. The hierarchy correlates with pay but not that strongly. It seems that if you work hard and have expertise you are rewarded for it."
Graduate, London
"I have a good relationship with my manager and feel confident to talk to him about any issues. There are some great social opportunities if you work in any of the CGI offices (the social groups are well worth subscribing to) but if you work five days a week at a client site it can feel quite alienating (even if the client does try to include CGI employees in the on-site activities). If I was able to spend more time at my base office I think I would feel more of a part of the company and have the confidence to participate in events more."

"Great social life in and out of work."
Graduate, Bridgend
"Everyone's always happy to help, very open and understanding. Work culture is strong and people looking for harder work and more responsibility always seem to find it."
Graduate, Leatherhead
"The office is a very friendly and reasonably relaxed environment. There is a strong graduate community as there are only ten of us, which results in plenty of out-of-hours social activities."
Graduate, Bridgend (Wales)

"There are many social activities, and the company is very interested in what its members have to say."
Graduate, Leatherhead
"Everyone gets along well, although in my experience there is little after-hours interaction."
Graduate, Gloucester
"The culture of my department is one of a strong work ethic and enabling employees to manage their own workloads, providing client service level agreements are met. There is an hierarchy, however, managers and leads are always willing to help. There is sense of communal involvement in project work."
Graduate, Bridgend
"As a gradate that relocated, CGI has helped me settle in to my role as best as they could. Each office has a graduate mailing list which will help you organise events with fellow graduates which is a great way to meet new people."
