"People actually stick to the hours they're supposed to work. Some people work slightly different hours, 8:00am-5:00pm rather than 9:00am-6:00pm, but because we're working with clients normal business hours are required."
Junior Consultant, Auckland
"I work 8:30am-6:30pm, and I feel like I can always come in early to leave early. It is rare that I have had to work later than 6:30pm. Maybe three times in a year you'd have to do a Saturday."
Consultant, London
"I have found my working hours to be very flexible, and that there is no 'face-time' culture."
Consultant, London
"Personally I find that it is a quite strict 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm schedule. Although you cannot work more hours one day and less the next, or often work from home, I find that you rarely have to work for more than eight hours per day."
Junior Consultant, London
"I work from 8:30am-6:00pm typically. There is also a good amount of flexibility to make up hours if you have to take longer lunch breaks/go home early on occasion."
Consultant, London
"I work 9-10 hours a day. These are flexible; so if I need to leave early I can start early."
Consultant, London
"Most people work from 9:00am until 6:00pm and have a generous lunch break. Hours are flexible within reason, and I have found that I can work from home if needed. Time out of the office for doctor's appointments and the like is no problem at all. There is no clocking in or clocking out."
Junior Consultant, London
"I work 8:30am-5:30pm in line with our clients' hours, but if I need these to change occasionally then I have found that CHP are very flexible. If I have to work outside of these times then I am either compensated financially, or with time in lieu."

"A standard working day is 9:00am-6:00pm and you must log at least 40 hours of work each week. Most managers are flexible about shifting your working day earlier."

"Standard working hours are 9:00am-6:00pm. There is some flexibility for people who want to arrive and leave slightly earlier than this, e.g. 8:00am-5:00pm. I have very rarely had to work longer than this, and managers are very accommodating when I have had to work from home."
Midlevel, London
"The company is quite flexible; as long as you put in your 40 hours, they're happy to let you operate a little outside the standard 9:00am-6:00pm. I'd like a little more say about my hours but I imagine that will come with time."
Graduate, London
"Your hours will vary according to the project you are currently working on. Some projects will permit flexible working hours, and for others this would not be suitable. It's not uncommon to start and finish an hour early or an hour late, or to work from home occasionally if there is a need."
Entry level, London
"The hours at CHP are better than most other companies I have seen; they're very flexible. 9:00am-6:00pm are the standard hours and the culture is to try and stick to these as far as possible. I have yet to work later than 7:00pm."

"The company is slightly flexible, people can choose to work slightly earlier or later, or from home if necessary. There is great value in a team working in the same place and at the same time, so we try to stick to this where possible."
Graduate, London
"The normal hours are 9:00am-6:00pm with an hour for lunch. But this is flexible if you have other commitments (e.g. Working 8:00am-5:00pm, working from home, etc...)"
Graduate, London
"Depending on role, the company is very open to consultants working non-standard hours, and occasionally from home. Exceeding contractual hours is rare, unless there is an important reason to. Lots of out-of-hours work is remunerated."
Midlevel, London
"Not obliged to work more than 40 hours per week unless (unusually) meeting a deadline."
Entry level, London
"Work hours are usually 40 hours per week. This can change when nearing the end of a project for example, but that's just the nature of project based work."
Entry level, London
"We usually work from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Very occasionally, when there are important project deadlines, I've needed to work a little later. However, working late isn't encouraged and projects tend to be well planned so it’s not usually necessary."
