We recruit the brightest and best graduates into the Civil Service and give them the skills, knowledge and experience they need to become effective and inspiring leaders.
This award-winning rotational programme is the largest of our graduate schemes, and one which will give you challenging experiences across a range of departments. The skills and expertise you develop will help you drive initiatives that change society for the better, and become a future leader.
Over 4 years the scheme will give you exposure to Corporate Services, Operational Delivery and Policy, and see you join departments ranging from the Cabinet Office to the Ministry of Defence. Each role you take will require different skills to succeed, so you’ll be learning all the time.
After a residential induction, two postings in different departments will help you start building your knowledge of some core Fast Stream skills, whether that’s change management, project management or more. From here, further postings will see you learn more about leadership and management, and decide where you want your career to head.
Besides day-to-day development, you’ll enjoy face-to-face courses, workshops, e-learning, posting-specific learning and action learning sets. Throughout, your managers and coaches will help keep you on track.
Promotion and successful completion of the scheme will see you earn c. £45k-£55k, while other benefits include the Civil Service pension scheme, professional qualifications, flexible working, season ticket loans, sports and social activities, childcare assistance and more.
